Fern Ellis

Fern Ellis leads a life rich with imagination, creativity and passion that has manifested successful careers in writing, music and teaching. Her world travels have taken her from the mountains in China studying Tai Chi and Qigong to traveling through Europe where she fell in love with the magical quality of the South of France. A curious philosopher who loves to laugh, Fern likes to tell stories about the magical, mystical qualities of life and her adventures.

From her early beginnings as a majorette leading the Junior Orange Bowl Parade when she was five…to many years later riding on a freezing train for twenty hours to reach Wudang Mountain—she serendipitously met a Taoist monk there who handed her his red wooden flute to play…to leaving the city life of Los Angeles and Miami behind and moving to a mountainside in North Carolina, Fern has always followed her heart.

She is blessed with an infectious joie de vivre that seems to enhance and affect everyone she meets. Fern lives to express herself artistically, and she expresses herself to live. She learned at an early age to not let anyone rain on her parade. And so, onward she goes, flowgoing with the winds of time.
